Based in Chichester, West Sussex, Marine Decking Services is going from strength to strength. With an already sizable reputation for consistently high performance and unrivalled service, Marine Decking Services likes to exceed expectations.

Toby Butlin established Marine Decking Services after achieving consistent success in the marine industry for many years. Having grown up around marine life, Toby has a deep-rooted connection to the industry. His passion for marine engineering began when he assisted his father with boat maintenance as a young boy, eventually leading to his work in marine engineering and boat building at Northshore Boat Yard in Itchenor, West Sussex, where he specialised in boat building and gel coat repairs. Toby’s early experiences laid the foundation for him to become an expert in boating. He brings this extensive knowledge and expertise to his work, ensuring that his customers benefit from his wealth of experience

In his previous roles, Toby has travelled not only within the UK but also to Europe where he templated and fitted composite decking on boat decks. Additionally, he managed and ran a successful workshop, where he trained staff on building boat decks and monitored their development. Toby also possesses a wide range of boat maintenance skills, including anti-fouling and teak decking. Currently, he focuses on composite decking due to his immense skill in this area. With a meticulous eye for detail, he excels in his work, delivering to tight deadlines and priding himself on a stream of very happy customers.

As an avid boat enthusiast, Toby has worked for the Chichester Harbour Conservancy patrolling the harbour waters as well as attaining the RYA Powerboats Level 1 and 2 qualifications.
